Table Makeover

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I had an amazing weekend and feel reenergized and ready for another fun week. In this post, I want to share a new friend with you.
Well, the table isn't new, but it got a makeover. A while ago, I wrote a post about my kijiji purchase and this is what it looked like.
After some debating with the hubby( he wanted to keep it as is and I didn't), we decided that it needed a makeover. It didn't fit with our furniture or with the space I had in mind.

How did I do it?

Well, I started lightly sanding the table. I only used some sand paper, but you could probably use a sander.
I primed the table with about 4 coats of primer. It is important that you apply thin layers, so that the paint is distributed evenly. I also let the coats dry in between, which made it take forever. After that, I painted it with white paint (about 3 coats of paint). What do you think? Do you like it?
I think it looks fresh and new. Both my hubby and I love it and think white is always nice and gives furniture a great new look. I still have to add a couple of things to the table, which I will share with you soon.

  3. It's a great table - might as well make it more useful in a bright cheery color! I can just imagine an enormous vase of beautiful flowers on it! Great job!
