Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Halloween! Will you be heading out to a party, trick or treating with the kids or watching a scary movie?

Yesterday, we baked some of Barbara's, scary witches fingers. I had to hide them otherwise they would have all been gone yesterday. They were deeelicious. Here is the link to the cookies, Barbara, from hodge podge, if you want to try them yourself.

We are off trick or treating tonight and I can't wait to see my little munchkin all dressed up in his costume. I forgot to mention that we had an early visit from a one-eyed monster, who drove through our house last night and then made a soup of all the bones he gathered. Scary.

Halloween Fun

Hello everyone. What else have I been up to this weekend you ask? Well, we finally managed to put up some Halloween decorations and here are a couple of pictures of our Halloween decorations.

Here is my new Halloween garland, made with the fabric that I showed you on Friday. 

Our house is being invaded by bats. Ahhh, except, that my little munchkin likes them. 

A scary spider is crawling on our coffee table and some scary glitter bones.

A skull is peeking in on us. 

Isn't a black scary crow a Halloween must? I picked up the small white pumpkins at the farm and some mercury looking candle holders from the Dollar store. My little one loved grabbing the spider and playing with it. We didn't get a chance to carve our pumpkins, but we will be tackling those later today.

Halloween Costume Ideas

Good morning to you all! First off, I would like to say that I am so sorry to be missing in action. If you follow me on twitter, you will have found out that I am sick. Both my baby and hubby were sick and now, I am too. I have spent some time this weekend writing posts for you, but unfortunately I cannot share them with you, because my mac has been checked into the mac hospital. I have been struggling with it for a while, but this past weekend it just wouldn't charge anymore. So, I am borrowing my hubby's computer and am counting the hours until I will receive my mac baby back. But first, I would like to say a big welcome to my new followers. Welcome and thank you for joining me on my decorating adventures.

So, since Halloween is less than two weeks away, I figured I would share some diy Halloween costumes with you today. Last year my hubby and I made our little munchkin a spider costume. He was so cute and I loved seeing him crawl all over the house with his extra 'legs'. Here is a picture of it from the Martha Stewart website (my picture is in quarantine).

How amazing is this little dragon costume? And what better costume idea for an older brother than a knight? 

What will my munchkin be dressed as, you ask? Well, he will be a super cute and super scary monster. He loves his little suit and wants to wear it every day. I hope to make him a diy costume soon, as soon as I get better.
