Making your own spring wreath

Spring, oh spring, where art thou? In some parts of North America, trees are blooming, the sun is shining and people are excited that spring has arrived. Sadly, it surely hasn't arrived here. Yesterday believe it or not, we even saw snowflakes. Can you believe it? Snowflakes in April. Yikes.
On a happier note, I decided I wanted to add a little spring to our home. I had a plain wreath that I hadn't used, and decided to beautify it. I wanted a fun, colourful and spring looking wreath.
I printed some flower templates off the internet and cut them out.
Using cardstock, I cut some flowers in my desired colour, yellow.
I thought the flowers needed something, so I used adhesive pearl dots and put them in the middle.
Then I tested out my layout on the wreath and used a hot glue gun to attach it. Voila.
Easter is a couple of days away, and to Easter-ize it, I added some felt cutouts. They can be removed when Easter is over.
Easy peasy and quick. It definitely adds a spring feel and makes me think of daffodils and blooming trees.

  1. Well I definitely came by at the right time. I just bought a grapevine wreath but didn't know what to do with it. That is such a great wreath!!
