Our mini trip

Summer is flying by and the beautiful weather needs to be enjoyed. We decided to enjoy it by going on a mini trip. This mini trip was going to be to Toronto. Yay! I love Toronto and could spend weeks if not months enjoying everything that Toronto has to offer. We initially decided to have our munchkin spend his first night without us, but that fell through. It was a lot of fun and here are some of our pictures.

We went for a stroll and dinner on the Esplanade. Both my men are meat lovers, so what better dinner than steak and potatoes. Yum. The Keg never disappoints. Sorry I did not take any pictures. I figured you really don't care to see what I ate, but rather would enjoy some pretty views like this one.
Don't you just love this building? It reminds me of the famous Flatiron building in New York City. I think Toronto is the Big Apple of the great white north.
One of the classic views. The CN Tower. I highly recommend going up. A couple of years ago, we had dinner up there and it was truly amazing. Totally worth it, both the food and the view were amazing.
Sorry for the clarity. I am still getting used to our new camera and my hand is never stable.
The next day we did some shopping and then we spent the afternoon checking out planes land at the Lake Shore. My munchkin is very much into planes, cars, trucks right now and this was the best fun for free. Planes kept landing and taking off, so he had a great time.

Love that view!

We had a great time and cannot wait to go back. Well, I cannot wait to go back. My hubby on the other hand is not so keen to be driving 6 hours, even if we share the driving.

Have you been to Toronto lately? You should definitely go, since there is so much to do and see. I will write up another post soon, about my little shopping adventure.

Have a fabulous evening!

  1. Glad you had such a good time. I feel pretty lucky yo live in the city and we try to take it in as much as possible... and we always love playing tourist guides when family and friends come to visit from out of town.

  2. Hi Kerry,
We had a blast and are already planning another trip soon. The only thing that I wish we knew (tourists) would be the local knowledge that you know (ie great antique store, restaurants etc). But I am researching that and any suggestions are more than welcome.
