A little update

Last week I shared my new table lamp with you and now I am back with a little update on that project. In case you missed it, or don't remember, here it is.

I knew I wanted to improve the lampshade, so I was off to Fabricland. And here is the new updated lampshade. 

To make the new lampshade, I folded the fabric over the edge of the lampshade, made the ruffles in the fabric and then glued a grey ribbon strip over the edge. For comparison, here is a picture of the lamp that I was dreaming of, but at a price of over $300, I had to be inventive.

I am very pleased with it, especially since mine ending up costing approximately $20.
