Blogpodium Fun

Hello to you all and happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, as I did. I had the great opportunity to attend BlogPodium this past weekend and what great fun it was. BlogPodium was really a great conference and a great opportunity to learn so much more about the business of the blogging world. I learned so much and it also gave me so much to think about.

At the same time I got a chance to meet some new people and some that I had been in contact with, like the super nice and talented Barbara of hodge podge/markova design and Nancy from Marcus Design Inc. They were both super super nice and it was so much fun to meet them in person and talk about our addictions to diy and decor.
From L to R, Barbara, Lindsay, Jen and Nancy

The keynote speaker was Nicole Balch of Making It Lovely, who gave a really awesome talk and shared all her wisdom with us all. I loved her speech and all the insight that she shared with us. So much to think about and who better to learn it from than a successful blogger, like Nicole, who build her business from scratch and makes a living from it now. Such inspiration and talent!

And here is a picture of the lovely Nicole, getting ready to start her talk.

After the keynote speech, there was a wonderful panel to share the ways they took to go about how to get sponsors and advertise on a blog. The super funny Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault was the moderator and she was fantastic, always asking the most pertinent questions that we bloggers wonder about. She was spot on about the questions and made sure that they shared the details on how they started.

Who was on the panel? Cheryl Kozoris, the Marketing and Communications manager of Gluckstein Home, Laura Muirhead of Tribal DDB, Lindsay Stephenson of Little House Blog and Christine Dovey of Bijou et Boheme. So many great tips!

Afterwards, design bloggers got a chance to chat with the great vendors that supported this amazing event. It was a really great time and I am so glad I attended.

The vendors also had goodies for us, which we got to take home. Love them all! Thank you so much to each and every one of them for supporting the event and design bloggers in Canada.

And I would also like to say a huge thank you to Jen and Lindsay for organizing this awesome event. I am quite certain that everyone had a great time and learned so much. Thank you!

Have a great Monday and great week ahead!

  1. Love your instagramed shot of the centerpieces. I was lucky enough to grab one on my way out as Lindsay and Jen were packing up. SO pretty! Too bad we missed each other. The next one, hopefully!
