DIY Envelope Pillow

Today I want to share a very easy and cute DIY project with you. It will take you about 15 minutes to finish this project. The way to change the look of a place is to get different accessories, unless you want or have the ability to change everything in that place.
Well, I love changing things up in my living room and pillows are a constant change in our home. Here is the new addition.
So, a while ago, I saw this super cool return to sender window treatment on the amazing blog Brooklyn Limestone. I loved it. I thought it was such a brilliant idea and I loved the colors and the look. Genius.
Isn't is fabulous? I think it is so creative and really easy to do. Have I mentioned it doesn't cost much to do? Have I mentioned that Stephanie from Brooklyn Limestone offers us keen readers the template for free? How awesome is that? Thank you so much!

Well, I of course wanted to try making this, but I unfortunately did not have a window to add it to. Our apartment is not very sunny, and I figured we need all the light we can get. So, I held off on the project. But one day last week, I had the idea of making a pillow with this idea. I had a leftover Aina pillow from Ikea and figured this would be the perfect place to use it.

So, I printed the template on t-shirt transfer paper that I already had in the house and started ironing. Thats about it. If I was to do it again, I might print the template a little smaller than the original.
I also got the blue dot pillows and I think they look quite good together. What do you think? Do you like it?

Thanks so much for dropping by. Have a good one!

  1. Love it! I've been thinking of some new cushions too and this one is perfect. I'll have to check the template. Thanks for sharing the link.
