Shoreline in sight!

I did it. I finished. The living room walls are done. What do you think? Do you like it?

You can read more about the other colors that I was considering, here. I am quite happy with my choice and I love how it varies in different corners of the room. The lighting makes it grey in some, beige grey and lavender-ish in others. Here is the color swatch.
This is the before picture and the after. I really love it. I feel it is more relaxing and soothing than the blue was. I also think that my 3D butterfly canvas art looks quite nice on the newly painted wall. I love the new color, because I think it is versatile and if I wanted to change the look of the room, the only things that would have to change are the accessories. A new painting and you have a new room, so to speak.
I do have to warn you though, that I asked for 75% of the color (they add 25% white to lighten the colour). I used 75% of the Pebble paint color in my friend's guest room too (you can read more about that here and here.). Don't ask me why, but I seem to be a 75% paint girl. I like strong colors, but feel that in all the rooms that I want to use them in, they need a lighter touch.

The couch right now is without a cover, but I will explain that in another post. Hope you like the new color. If you would like I can post the formula that they chose for my paint color. I am quite happy with my "shoreline".

  1. I used a very similar colour in our old guest room, and, in that small, dark space, it didn't look as good as I'd hoped it would, but your room looks great!

  2. Where were you when I painted my 15 foot walls?! LOL. That's a great colour. I love when the light changes the tone and feel, making the room seem totally different.
