My Press Feature

A little while ago, I wrote about my metallic/ gold leaf easter eggs being featured on the website of Ladies' Home Journal. I also mentioned that they were going to be featured in their April issue. Still can't believe it. So guess what I found and picked up.

The April issue of the Ladies' Home Journal. I was so giddy when I found the magazine and couldn't wait to see my little contribution. My hubby and baby were the first to have a look at it with me and it was a great moment. And here is a picture of the eggs in the magazine. 

Woohoo! I still cannot believe that they were featured in the magazine and online.

Thank You SO Much LHJ

Good morning and good Monday to you all! Hope you all had a great weekend. This morning I would like to share some great news, which I have been keeping quiet about. I still cannot believe that it has happened.

A couple of months ago, I received an email from the Ladies' Home Journal and my jaw dropped. 

They wanted to feature my gold leaf ostrich Easter eggs. Wow! I was speechless! Yes, please! I was beyond thrilled and keeping quiet about this has been a little challenging, but now they are up on their site and I can share them with all of you. 

I had only dreamed of something like this before and now it has really happened. I am still in awe and so so happy and grateful, for the feature in such an esteemed magazine. 

Let the Easter preparations begin. I made some eggs in January and will be posting a detailed post with pictures on how to make them with you soon. Here are some of the best shots of the eggs that I took, from the hundreds that I ended up shooting.

Last but not least, the eggs will be featured in the April issue of the Ladies' Home Journal, which I cannot wait to come out. And yes, I did look for it in stores, but I don't think it is out yet. Will post pictures as soon as I pick up the April issue.

Thank You Style at Home

A huge thank you to Style at Home for inviting me to participate in their budget friendly decorating ideas article. I am so honored and flattered to be a part of this.

Wish I spoke Swedish - Hemstilat

A while ago, I received an email asking for permission to use one of my pictures in a magazine. I couldn't believe it. One of my pictures in a home decorating magazine? I am so honored and thrilled. I wasn't really sure if they were going to use the picture, because you never really know until it comes out, but they did use it. Yay!

A huge thank you goes to Benita, from Chez Larsson for emailing me these photos of the magazine and of my picture.

So, here it is. The magazine is called Hemstilat and it is their very first issue. How exciting! The magazine features home decor and shows different house tours, but also has a large section of different diy projects that different home owners did for their homes.

And here is my picture. Yay! My little bookshelf made it in the magazine. I was so happy and surprised when Benita sent me these.

Here is my little feature, and I am beyond thrilled and honored that they chose it.

Some More Exciting News

A couple of days ago, Barbara over at hodge podge, shared my interview on her So Canadian, eh? series. It was such an honor to be featured on her site. She is such an amazing lady and I absolutely love her projects and ideas.

As a new blogger, I am still getting used to all the ins and outs of what a blog is about. One of the things that I enjoy checking out on my blog is all the people from cool places around the world who visit my blog. It is really really neat to see that. So, imagine my surprise when a little while ago, I saw that I had some visitors from Sweden and discovered a link. I clicked on it and saw my pictures. Oh my goodness!

Here is a screen photo of the site, featuring my Ikea hack. I was completely in awe, when I saw this. I was thrilled and excited. I saw so many blogs and projects featured, but this time it was my blog and my project.

Even my baby made it on the site. My little munchkin. How cute is that? I really just added the picture to show that he really was interested by the shelf and, of course, the books.

One of my favorite blogs, is chezlarsson.com and after commenting for a while, I emailed Benita to ask her a couple of things. She was also so nice and sweet to translate a bit of the article. Here is what it says. Thank you so much Benita. My resolution for next year is to learn Swedish. I am quite excited. 

The spice rack gets turned into a small bookshelf for the kids. Last night as i put my youngest to bed we were choosing a bedtime story as usual. Our bookshelf is filled with beautiful, fun and great books but we usually end up reading the same ones over and over again. The ones at the bottom of the shelf get forgotten. I was looking at an empty spot on the wall and thought to myself that I should hang one of those great plate racks/bookshelves so one can see those forgotten books and switch them out from time to time.

And today I got a great tip on how to use the IKEA Bekväm spice rack for children's books. The rack is only 29 kronor so one can actually splurge and put a couple of them up next to each other without getting ruined. Here the shelf has been painted white. I think I'll get a couple of those spice racks on our next trip to IKEA. I think children's books are often like works of art on their own with their pretty covers.

My Ikea Rast is on Ikeahackers- Yay!

When you least expect it, pop goes the internet. What do I mean with that? Well, a while ago I submitted my Ikea Rast dresser hack to ikeahackers and since I never saw it on there and weeks and weeks were going by, I was losing hope. I figured my pictures were too big or I messed something up.

Well, today there it was. Yay!!!!!!! I am beyond thrilled and grateful to have it featured. I know there are a lot of tacks, but I like the way it looks and it is perfect for all the little extra things in my kitchen.

I tried to add a picture of it, but for some reason I am having difficulty doing so. I will try again soon, but please drop on by ikeahackers to check out my Tack-y Rast Ikea dresser and other amazing and creative Ikea hacks.

My IDye Pillows @ Ikeahackers

I was so thrilled yesterday (and today) to see my iDye diy pillow being featured on Ikeahackers. You can see it shown here on their site. 

Can you believe it? My little project made it to Ikeahackers? Thank you so much for featuring it.
