DYE & DIY British Flag Pillow

There has been so much hype about the upcoming nuptials of William and Kate. On the eve of their nuptials, I decided to share a diy I made. On a recent trip to my favorite dressmaker store, I thought of a diy project to make my own British flag pillow. Not as fancy, but easy, simple and cheap. Here is how that turned out.
                                             What you will need:
I used a white linen pillow case from Ikea, blue and red fabric dye, vanishing marker, scissors, ruler, print out.

Printed the British flag and enlarged it. Then I cut it out.
Using the vanishing marker, I drew the pattern onto the pillow.
Used a brush and started painting the flag.
Here it is. My simple DIY British flag pillow.

I think it looks really pretty and it adds so much character and colour to our white couch. Do you like it? For those of you watching the wedding have fun, and for the rest of you, have a great day and great weekend ahead!

  1. How fabulous. All your DIY projects are putting my to shame! Just bought a handful of fabrics, I will be busy sewing this weekend!

  2. Thanks so much Barbara. Your projects are really awesome as well. I can't wait to see your pillows.

  3. This is amazing! I am going to make one. Or try...

Thank you so much for your comments! You've made my day!
